Seven Ways You Can THRIVE at the Eve Center
The Eve Center is a free, Christian based, peer counseling organization helping women in the Greater Cincinnati Area. We are committed to promoting emotional, spiritual, and relational healing in a safe and confidential environment. Each woman who walks through our doors has a name with a unique story and struggles. Here are some ways that you can personally thrive when you take advantage of our services.
It’s not a coincidence that our slogan is “We’ve been where you are.” Each peer counselor has experienced many of the same things you are going through. They receive months of training to equip them with the tools to help you through your individual situation. Each session lasts about an hour, and is conducted in a safe, non-judgmental, Christian environment. This time is used to experience God’s will for you through personal conversation and prayer with your counselor.
There are many circumstances in life that affect our emotions, and with that often comes pain. As with all healing this is a process, and we are here to work with you through the ups and downs of becoming emotionally whole again. We can provide the guidance and resources to help you gain back your emotional strength.
Along with emotional healing we are also here to help you grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ. He is our Ultimate Healer, and we want you to experience the full potential He has to offer you for your life. No matter where you are in your walk, we want to help and encourage you to dive deeper in your faith through prayer and scripture.
We offer 5 different recovery groups at the Eve Center:
- HEART- for women recovering from pregnancy loss due to abortion in a safe, non-judgmental environment
- HATCH– for women recovering from the effects of childhood sexual abuse
- ROSE– for women in dysfunctional relationships
- SEED– for women struggling with poor eating habits and body image
- GOLD-for women dealing with grief from the death of a loved one
We also offer book studies on common issues and struggles in the lives of women. These are offered in a group setting. Each study focuses on a specific topic and is facilitated by two trained volunteer peer counselors. Studies are limited to 20 women per group.
Are you being called by God to use your talents and life experiences to help other women? We offer Basic Training courses to volunteers looking to become peer counselors. These women commit time and energy to help serve others in their time of need.
We have a lending library to further promote emotional, spiritual, and relational healing. Books are available to both clients and volunteers.
We were not meant to struggle alone (Galatians 6:2). That’s why the Eve Center is committed to making sure that you not only overcome your struggles but THRIVE in your life during and after healing.
