National Day of Prayer

“Do all this in prayer, asking for God’s help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reasonkeep alert and never give up; pray always for all God’s people.” Ephesians 6:18 GNT Our country was founded on prayer and in reverence for our God. The National Day of Prayer is an outward expression of the importance forprayer and repentance. The importance of our dependence on God to guide and direct us. Prayeris an act of obedience to God. Prayer is how we communicate with God. Prayer strengthens our trust for God. Although we should be looking to God for guidance daily, it is the first Thursday in May that invites people of all faith to come together. During this time, we all give thanks to God for all that He has done and all that He will do in our homes, in our neighborhoods, in our communities, in our country, and for our nation. Iinvite you to allow God to meet you where you are. As you face new challenges ask the Father for His continued protection and direction in your life.
