“My command is this: love each other as I have loved you.” John 15:12

Jesus loves you.

Yep. How many times have you heard that? If you have heard literally nothing else about Jesus, you have heard how much he loves you.

He loves you so much that he died for you. That’s a whole lotta love!

So if the one who loves you the most doesn’t suggest, but commands that you love like Him, I think we’d better listen.

Jesus was known for loving groups of people that most others at the time considered unlovable. The adulterer (John 4:4-42), the tax collector (Luke 19:1-10), the poor (Luke 14:13-14), and the unclean (Mark 1:40-45).

Do you know why? Because Jesus’ love is for everyone. No exclusions. No stipulations.

What would it look like if we showed that kind of love in today’s world? What if we, as fellow children of the One True King, showed that kind of love and grace to all of our fellow brothers and sisters, with no conditions?

I don’t have to agree with you. I don’t have to like what you do. But I am loved so deeply and fiercely by my Lord that I just can’t help but spread that love to all. And by just showing up in love, I can shine Jesus into even the darkest of places.

No exclusions. No stipulations. Just letting them know that no matter where you are in life, yep. Jesus loves you.
