Certainly, at some point in your life you have heard the phrase, “When one door closes, another one opens.” It is the go-to saying when a chapter of your life is finished. Sometimes you personally close the door, other times it is closed by someone else. It can be closed gently, or it can slam shut right in your face.

What happens, though, when you can’t find the next open door? Maybe you’re walking the hallway with no escape in sight? Spending day after day searching for the opening alone can be quite the lonely feeling.

It is hard to keep trekking when it seems like at every turn another door is slamming in your face. You get discouraged, angry, and frustrated thinking you are going to be stuck searching forever. Or maybe while searching the whole house falls on top of you, and you feel you have no way to get out from under the rubble.

In John 10:7 Jesus himself said, “I am the door of the sheep.” Not only is He walking with you each step of the hallway, He will be waiting at the open door to welcome you to your next journey.

Life can be difficult; everyone knows that. That’s why at the Eve Center we are here to help you down your hallway. Our Peer Counselors are ready and willing to take that walk with you, giving you practical applications to help you through your struggles. Many of them have walked the same hallway you have and found their open door at the end.

Our door at the Eve Center is always open when you are ready to take the next step. Don’t feel like you are in this alone. Reach out for help instead of wandering around in the dark.
