Center board members and employees have been hard at work,
taking an active role in the growth, development and overall

for Eve Center, which includes newsletter content, social

Rebranding the
EVE CENTER WEBSITE! Yes! This fall, Eve Center will be
launching a brand new website. The design will be clean,
organized, social media friendly and packed with Eve Center
news, events, investor information, volunteer highlights, and
more. Our fearless leader – Cinny Roy – will be writing
her thoughts and ideas in the very first Eve Center Blog. It’s
so exciting and all in His Glory. Here is a sneak peak at
Cinny’s first blog post. Expect great things in 2012 – Our
God has been good and gracious to His daughters.
EVE CENTER BLOG, POST #1
Bent at the waist picking beans, I recognize
vagabond weeds have infiltrated my garden! Yet as I move to
swiftly rid the row of the invaders, my hand stops. If I rip
out the weed, my beloved bean plant will fall over, putting
the under developed beans in the dirt with the bugs, bending
the stalk, weakening the plant bringing a premature ending to
the bountiful harvest!
Lesson? There always is with God’s creation!
Our enemies are in our very midst. Sometimes we need those
around us who we don’t like and in our humanness, judge to
be of no or less value in our lives. If everything - and
everyone - is created by God, then everything and everyone is
valuable to God.
There is a godly purpose for everything and
everyone in my life’s ‘garden.’ So before I go wildly
and righteously yanking out all weeds, I will be mindful to
appreciate possible benefits of what is planted by God in my
garden.

EVE
CENTER STATISTICS
Our Director, Karen Reed, puts effort
and love along with our Business Manager, Heidi Page, to
collect statistics from our HQ and West location to see
how we are growing, where women come from and how many
volunteers participate in supporting tri-state women. We
are growing - no doubt about it, and the statistics are
available to prove it. In August, Eve Center Volunteers
served 103 clients; and we had 12 new intakes. Our Year
To Date (YTD) monthly average: 100 new clients;
Average17 intakes.

"I serve at the Eve Center because I
believe this is where God has me at this time."
My story:
I
can only give God the Glory - I was in a 23 year abusive first
marriage. God delivered me and has blessed my life. I am now
married to a Spiritual leader, and we are equally yoked and
serving God together. I have worked in counseling and teaching
for much of my life. I do feel however that working with women
is my calling. Favorite part of volunteering at Eve Center is
that I help heal the brokenhearted. Isaiah 61. One of many
favorite Bible Verses: Jeremiah 29:11.
Abuse Recovery Ministry and Services
(www.armsonline.org
) promotes healing for
women through education regarding the many faces of abuse:
physical, mental, emotional, verbal and spiritual, the
personal and relational impact and then recovery.
HOW
–
‘Her Journey’ is a series of classes designed to help
women walk through their healing from domestic violence and
abuse. Classes are free and women may join at any time. While
there are a total of 15 lessons, women may attend as long as
they find the program helpful. The classes meet weekly.
WHAT
-
Based on Psalm 23 and divided into three sections: Through the
Valley, Past the Shadows, and Into His Light. Any woman who
has been, or thinks she may have been, or is in a difficult or
abusive relationship should take these classes. They are truly
life changing. Those attending will learn to understand the
different forms of abuse and God’s heart for them in regards
to this issue. Topics like denial, anger, depression,
loneliness, and choices, along with many others, will be
covered. Women will find a safe and supportive environment as
they seek God’s will for their lives.
